How we handle your data

Reporting on your business means working with your customer lists, pricing, and margins. Here’s exactly how we handle them, for you or whoever on your team needs to sign off.

How we get it

One of three ways, whichever suits your system and your IT team: a read-only login to a copy of your database that you maintain (never your live system), your system’s official API, or exports you send. We only ever read, and nothing we do changes your live system.

If your IT team would rather not open the firewall, a scheduled job on your side can push exports to us instead. Exports arrive through your own reporting site or a secure file transfer to its server, never by email or a shared folder.

Where it lives

Your data is copied into a private site built for your business and hosted on DigitalOcean, in your own DigitalOcean account if you prefer. Every client gets their own site; no two clients share one. Your reports and checks run against that copy, refreshed on a schedule.

Who can see it

Your team and eIDX. Nobody else has access. Email and text alerts go only to the people you name.

How we use AI

Some reports use AI to group findings and explain them in plain language. That runs on Claude, made by Anthropic, through Anthropic’s commercial API. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, data sent this way isn’t used to train their models.

The AI also learns from your data to make your own reports and checks better at reading your business. That learning serves your reporting only. It’s never used for another client.

Every finding still traces back to the rows behind it, and a person signs off on what happens next.

If you cancel

It’s your data. If you cancel your subscription, we send you an export of your reports and their history, then delete our copy.
